Verify a vehicle's official manufacturer service history before you buy. Access records from vehicle manufacturers to confirm servicing completed within authorised dealer networks and gain valuable insight into how a vehicle has been maintained.
Understanding service history
The difference between full manufacturer history and no history can mean thousands of pounds in value and thousands in repair bills.
What's included
Physical service stamps can be forged. Our check verifies directly against manufacturer dealer networks and digital records — the ones that can't be faked.
Each service entry includes the servicing dealer's name and location, so you can verify or contact them directly if needed.
Modern vehicles store service data digitally with the manufacturer. We access these records in addition to any physical stamped book.
Cambelt replacement, coolant flush, brake fluid, and spark plugs — we flag whether critical mileage-based work has been completed.
Simple process

Coverage
Our service history check sources data directly from manufacturer and dealership networks covering 20+ major brands including Audi, BMW, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen. Records are available for vehicles from model year 2012 onwards.

The risk of skipping this check
A missed or overdue cambelt replacement can destroy an engine in seconds. Repair costs typically run £3,000–£8,000+. Manufacturer records confirm whether this critical work was done.
Many used-car warranties and manufacturer extended warranties require evidence of FSH. A gap in the record can leave you with zero cover on expensive drivetrain repairs.
An incomplete or unverifiable service history is strong grounds to negotiate the price down — but only if you know about it before you buy. Our report gives you that leverage.

Common questions
Manufacturer service history (also called Full Service History or FSH) means every scheduled service has been carried out by a franchised, manufacturer-approved dealership — such as a Kia dealer, Ford dealer, or BMW centre — at the correct mileage or time intervals. This is distinct from servicing done at independent garages, fast-fits, or supermarkets.
A car with a full, unbroken manufacturer service history is typically worth 5–15% more than an equivalent car with partial or no history. On a £15,000 car that's up to £2,250 in difference. Buyers trust FSH cars more, and they sell faster.
Traditional service books contain physical stamps from the dealer alongside the service adviser's signature. Newer vehicles increasingly use digital service records (DSR) stored directly with the manufacturer — no physical book required. We check both sources.
Yes — forged stamps and fabricated service books are a known fraud. Our check cross-references the manufacturer's own digital records and franchised dealer networks, which cannot be forged. Physical stamps alone should never be relied upon without this verification.
Under Block Exemption Regulations, servicing at a non-franchised garage does not automatically void a manufacturer warranty — provided the correct specification parts and fluids are used and the service is documented. However, during the new-car warranty period, most manufacturers strongly recommend authorised service centres, and some extended warranties do require FSH.
A single missed or late service isn't always a dealbreaker, but it does affect the car's history rating and resale value. Our report highlights any gaps, late services, or intervals that fall outside manufacturer tolerances so you can negotiate accordingly.
